ABCD … and beyond

 - by admin

Well for the past few weeks I have been singing this ABCD song over and over again. Mommy sings it to me and it is quite longer than I know it as ABCD, ABCD is all I can remember. Today I memorized the next few letters … EFG YEAH!! Mommy was so happy that we’ve moved forward a bit on this … ABCDEFG :-)

New Bed – Update

I am happy, but not as happy as my parents, to report that as of last night I am sleeping in my own room, in my own bed !! HOORAY! I still make my way over to my parents’ bed eventually but I start off in my own bed.

New Bed

So I arrived home today from daycare and my mami had a surprise waiting for me. She had gone out and picked up a bed for me, then came home, cleaned and rearranged my entire room to put this new bed in my very small bedroom. I think it is totally cool that I have my own bed and that I can get in and out of it by myself. I still am not sure if I am going to sleep here, I kinda like sleeping with mami and papi, so much more cosier, but it sure makes for a great place to play with my “baby”. I’m not convinced yet, but I couldn’t break the news to my parents who really looked so happy with my reaction

Sofie’s First Birthday

 - by admin

Sofie turns 1Now that you have been properly introduced to Sofie, let me tell you that we were over at her house for her Birthday party on the weekend. It was so much fun! Full of people, big and small, balloons, presents, the works!! I had my first lomito, traditional Chilean sandwich, but I have to admit that the crackers were much better in my opinion. Happy Birthday Sof

Here are some more pictures from that day …

Let me first introduce ….

Giving credit where credit is due, it is only fitting that I begin by presenting to you my cuz Sofie. She is 7 months younger than I, but she has taken the lead in this whole blogging thing – the original blogger. It was as a direct result of the celebration of her first birthday, and my mom getting all sentimental reading through Sofie’s “year in review”, that actually motivated Mami to set up this blog for me. So thanks Sofie (and her pretty innovative parents)!! Will be calling on them for sure for tips on how to blog :-)

Fermelinger Vacation 2008

 - by admin

After months of planning from my Tio Jason (or Theo Yayson) we embarked on our first official “Family Vacation” to the Muskokas. Tio Jason found us a really cool cottage overlooking lake Rousseau and close to Windemere where my mami vacationed as a child. We had an awesome time and it was so cool having my ‘cuz Henry there to play with. He is bigger than I am but loves to play with me and even though I can’t verbally express myself to him, he seems to get it.

My favorite pastime was palying on the beach with the sand and getting my feet wet in the very cold water. Henry would take the canoe, me the paddle boat, and we would also go out for long trips out on the lake exploring looking for the mouth of the lake that my Tia Gabi swore was close. Turns out it wasn’t so close :-)

Henry taught me that frozen yogurt and blueberries in a cone are the bomb – have been eating it ever since.

The first ever Fermelinger Badminton match occurred on this trip. [more to come ... ]
